Children & Youth Committee
What does the Children & Youth Committee Do?
The primary mission of this committee is to ensure that every child of a veteran in need of care and protection receives necessary and timely support. Their focus is on strengthening family bonds, extending assistance to reputable organizations and facilities offering services to children and youth, and sustaining a comprehensive program that caters to the community's young members.
The committee is responsible for developing, recommending, and executing plans, initiatives, and activities that guarantee the well-being and protection of veterans' children while also enhancing conditions for all children and youth. They prioritize preserving the integrity of family homes and preventing social and physical challenges for children and youth whenever feasible. This involves collaborating with reputable organizations and agencies to benefit young individuals, endorsing the Legion's Temporary Financial Assistance Program, and maintaining a holistic program that addresses their physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual requirements.
