Post Gulf War Veteran Program
What does the Post Gulf War Veteran Program Do?
The Post Gulf War Committee is dedicated to continuous improvement, aiming to better support veterans and their families who served during and after the Gulf War. Its primary purpose is to create a platform that appeals to veterans and their family members from the Persian Gulf War, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom, encouraging them to join the American Legion. They are encouraged to share their insights and ideas about how our organization can enhance and adapt to remain relevant.
Post Gulf War Veterans represent the future of the American Legion. Recognizing that the needs of younger veterans may differ from those who served in previous wars, the American Legion is a family-focused organization that includes the American Legion Auxiliary (comprising spouses, children, and grandchildren of veterans) and the Sons of the American Legion (comprising children and grandchildren). Consequently, we need to explore innovative approaches to engage the entire family and offer programs that cater to their specific needs..
